De ITIL capability modules zijn rolgerichte verdiepingsmodules. Deze trainingen zijn specifiek bedoelt voor mensen die meerdere processen moeten beheren, en kent een bredere opzet dan de lifecycle modules.

Service Offerings and Agreements (SOA)

Planning, Protection and Optimization (PPO)

Release, Control and Validation (RCV)

Operational Support and Analyses (OSA)

Itil Foundation geslaagd zijn is een voorwaarde voor toegang tot deze trainingen.

ITIL® Expert

Managing Across the Lifecycle (MALC) is de traing om tot ITIL-Expert niveau te komen. Voorwaarde om toegelaten te worden tot de MALC training is minimaal 17 punten uit een gebalanceerde combinatie van trainingen uit de Lifecycle, Capability of specialistische trainingen. Iedere module uit de Lifecycle stream levert 3 punten op, de modules uit de Capability stream leveren 4 punten per module op.
